As the premier faculty of Dhaka University, the Faculty of Business Studies is pursuing a policy of developing highly skilled business executives to play a crucial role in shaping a democratic, productive and transparent society. The importance of business education has accelerated at a remarkable speed in the recent decades following the global structural adjustment programs coupled with many significant changes in economic environment. The demand for efficient executives educated in various aspects of business is still growing. Apparently, people with non-business educational background are occupying the increased demand for business executives. These executives have been largely following a learning-by-doing process. But this traditional pursuit of business decision-making process is facing serious challenges in the modern eco-business set up. With this realization the need for improving the knowledge and skill of business executives has been growing significantly.
In view of the growing demand for business graduates, there is a need for creating more opportunities for higher studies in business for the existing executives as well as for the potential entrants.
